How to View a LetsConnect.me Digital Business Card

  • Enter the URL into the browser on a device, e.g. my.letsconnect.me/name
  • Scan the QR code displayed on a device  by pointing the phones camera at it and tapping the prompt to open in a browser

How to Save a QR Code on a Phone

  • Open the URL or scan the QR code
  • Tap Share this Page
  • Tap/hold the QR code
  • Tap Download Linked File
  • Or, Add to Photos

How to Save a QR Code on a Computer

  • Open the URL or scan the QR code
  • Click Share this Page
  • Right/Control click the QR code
  • Click to Save or Copy the image
  • Choose a location to save the image

How to Share From a Phone

  • Open the URL or scan the QR code
  • Tap Share this Page to choose from the following options:
  • Scan the QR code using the other phones camera
  • Text
  • Email
  • Social Media
  • WhatsApp

How to Add the Contact on a Computer

  • Open the URL or scan the QR code
  • Click the Add to contacts button at the end of the page, and the virtual contact file (vCard.vcf) will download
  • Open the vCard file and choose to Add the contact details
  • If there are problems downloading, a person can also choose to receive the vCard file as an email attachment
  • Enter the recipient email address
  • Click Send Business Card

How to Add to a Phones Home Screen

  • Open the URL or scan the QR code
  • Tap the browsers Share icon
  • Tap Add to Home Screen
  • Tap Add

How to Add the Contact on a Phone

  • Open the URL or scan the QR code
  • Tap the Contact+ icon (bottom-right)
  • Tap/hold the contact image at the top
  • Tap Add to Existing or Create New Contact
  • Tap Done

What if a Phone Doesn't Scan the QR Code?

  • Older cameras may require an app in order to scan codes so just pointing the camera might not work
  • Instead of asking your contact to find and download an app, just have them enter your custom URL into their browser on the phone
  • Or, you can press the Share This Page button
  • Then send the card to them using one of the available options: e.g. WhatsApp, Social Media, SMS, or Email

Use Your Own Domain Name

Note: If you already have an UNUSED domain name, skip to step 2 (Unused means if you enter it into a browser no valid page is shown. If it loads valid or current content and you want that to continue, DO NOT redirect it).

Note:
This documents the process for domains registered with GoDaddy. Other registrars may have a different process.

 

1. Go to shop.whitneytechsupport.com to purchase a domain for $11.99 or use your preferred domain registrar.

 

2. Log into your GoDaddy account and click the selections icon, then Domains

 

3. Locate the domain and click the dots, then Manage DNS

 

4. Scroll down the page to the Forwarding section and click ADD

 

5. Set Forward To, to be https://

6. Enter the URL of your page: my.letsconnect.me/your-name

7. Confirm Forward Type is Permanent (301)

8. Confirm Settings is Forward only (do not use masking)

   

 

9. Click Save

10. It should look like this, but with your LetsConnect.me page name

Note: It may take 24 hours to process but when everything is set, entering the URL yourdomain.com into a browser will bring up your LetsConnect.me page.
e.g. enter devonwhitney.com will open the page my.letsconnect.me/devonwhitney

Use As a Zoom Background or Profile Image

To set a Zoom background image follow steps 1-3. To set a Zoom profile image (displayed when video is off) follow steps 4-7.

1. In Zoom, click the arrow next to the video icon, then click Choose Virtual Background

2. With “Virtual Backgrounds” selected, click the + to add virtual background image (make sure Mirror my video is off when finished)

3. Your background image should be displayed

4. Go into Zoom settings (same as above except click Profile instead of Background and Filters, then click Edit My Profile

5. Click Change

6. Click Upload and select a file and resize if needed

7. The image you selected will be displayed in place of your name when your video is off

Use QR As an iOS Phone Lock Screen

  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Wallpaper
  4. Tap Choose a New Wallpaper
  5. Tap the Image
  6. Tap Set
  7. Tap Set Lock Screen

  1. Prerequisite: Save the image in Google Drive
  2. Access Google Drive on your phone and find the image
  3. Tap the dots
  4. Tap Download to save to your phone
  5. Tap Settings
  6. Tap Display
  7. Tap Advanced
  8. Tap Wallpaper
  9. Tap Photos
  10. Tap Download
  11. Tap the image
  12. Tap Set Wallpaper
  13. Tap Lock screen
